I really don’t think this is such a big deal to be fighting over. I can understand Kurt feeling not trusted, but couldn’t it have been resolved with a little conversation?
That’s the thing, though…there’d been conversation. Having come out of a relationship where she didn’t trust me fully (though she said she did), I can really resonate with Kurt. I was never unfaithful to my former fiance, but that didn’t matter. What took over were her insecurities and wounds left over from previous relationship trauma. I loved her dearly, and I tried to talk with her, explain things, clarify things, help her understand…but it was never good enough. I’m sure Charlotte isn’t quite as wounded as my fiance was, so I hope she and Kurt can make it through.
I’m sorry to hear about your ordeal with your fiancé, JP. But I guess it’s better to find out these things before you are married rather than after. I hope this story doesn’t cut too close to the bone. 🙁
