I didn’t realize he had yelled at her in the restaurant. I’m used to seeing speech balloons that have like jagged edges to denote when someone is yelling, so I totally missed that he was yelling. It makes sense now why people in the restaurant were looking at them in the last panel in that episode. You might experiment with different balloon types to show different types of talking – like dashed balloons to show whispering, jagged balloons to show shouting, etc, as it can be hard to tell from the text alone. Anyway, I’m really enjoying the comic! You’re doing an awesome job! Thank you so much for sharing your story and all your hard work with us!
I used bold, large type to indicate yelling, but your point is well taken. He’s yelling in the first panel, then he quiets down to a normal tone of voice until the last 2 panels where he gets loud and sarcastic.
