For those who don’t know how a 3D graphic image is made, here’s a peek behind the scenes. The less geometry, that is, the fewer objects in the scene that the computer has to calculate into the final image, the faster it is to render the image. This example is from page 9 of chapter 14 (“The Report”)
In this case all I needed was the upper half of Lieutenant Nichols and the building complex in the background. Previous images in the chapter established that the characters are standing on the patio of Sophia’s condo.
Last Friday, during the generation of a test render, my main pc–the one where DAZ is installed and where all my DAZ assets reside–shut down because of high internal temperature. It seems I blew out my CPU fan and the pc was overheating. So now the pc is in the shop, awaiting the installation of the new fan. It’s been four days and I’m very antsy because I can’t work on chapter 14!
Anyway, I guess this is the long way of saying chapter 14 will be delayed. Wish it wasn’t true, but man proposes, God disposes. Please hang in there with me.
I have been working on this comic series since February 2023. The characters were developed for romance images in the DAZ Studio Gallery. Eventually, I grew to know and love the characters, and decided to try creating stories around them. This is the result. I think you’ll find it interesting and amusing–maybe even touching at times. In any case I truly hope you enjoy it.

Dawww FOR THE FUTURE! YAY!
It’s great that they both are thinking of the future! 😀
David
They are both looking forward to that future. All I have to do is figure out how it happens! 😀

I can’t tell if he’s feeling awkward because of the kids in that last shift-up in his verbiage, or if there’s some other hesitation/uncertainty there…
David
He does have plans, but he doesn’t think the kids should be the first to know.
JP
Makes perfect sense, and was my first thought…but I’ve learned that assumption is pretty much always dangerous. LOL.

Sorry for the Delay
