      Unfortunately I don’t. The only email addresses I have are from those who left comments, and I don’t even know if those are real. Anyway, my traffic has been steady, and improved since the crisis. I’m gratefully for those who stood by and had patience.

    And don’t worry too much about the crisis. We’ve had LOTS of sites, including some of the majors, hosting hundreds or thousands, go down for days. I don’t really worry for a month, personally. Or stop checking. Glad you’re back, however. 🙂

Behind the Scenes

For those who don’t know how a 3D graphic image is made, here’s a peek behind the scenes. The less geometry, that is, the fewer objects in the scene that the computer has to calculate into the final image, the faster it is to render the image. This example is from page 9 of chapter 14 (“The Report”)

In this case all I needed was the upper half of Lieutenant Nichols and the building complex in the background. Previous images in the chapter established that the characters are standing on the patio of Sophia’s condo.

Note the position of the camera.
